Leslee Francis, Certified Aspen Ski Instructor

Leslee grew up in Aspen, skiing, hiking, camping and fishing. She played volleyball and basketball and was an all-state setter at Aspen high her senior year, then went to the University of Colorado, Boulder for a degree in journalism.

Leslee began teaching skiing for the Aspen Skiing Company while in high school and has continued to teach since–more than 44 years. She is fully certified.

She taught preschool for many years and was the only female fly-fishing guide in the Aspen area for 20 years.

She has one son who is an avid skier as well and recently graduated high school.

After dealing with chronic pain and other personal challenges Leslee experienced a period of considerable difficulty. After some very hard experiences, she persevered and is a new person today.

Leslee recently started work as the Outreach Director for the Rock and Roll Academy Aspen, which she loves. She hopes to expand this special program, reach more kids and get the community involved all through the love of music.
